The Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics and the Qatar Foundation for Social Work, with its centers under its umbrella, and in cooperation with the Qatar Players Association, organized the largest social sports gathering and in cooperation with Promo Art Advertising Company as an implementing and organizing body for the sports event, in the presence of Her Excellency Amal bint Abdul Latif Al Mannai, CEO of the Qatar Foundation for Work. Social Affairs, Mr. Salman Al-Ansari, President of the Qatar Players Association, and a number of directors of departments of the Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics.
The event began with a sports awareness segment presented by the Association, then everyone participated in a walking marathon, followed by a match between the Ministry’s team and the Foundation’s team with the participation of the players. The event also included sports activities open to adults and children.
By participating in the Sports Day celebration, the two sides aim to enhance sports awareness, spread the culture of interest in sports in Qatari society, and urge employees to implement sports activity and follow it as a daily approach to life.
For her part, Her Excellency Amal Bint Abdul Latif Al-Mannai, CEO of the Qatar Foundation for Social Work, said that the Foundation and the centers under its umbrella are participating with the Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics and the Qatar Players Association in organizing the 2017 Sports Day activities with the aim of achieving integration of efforts between the parties, in order to achieve Sports Day in a proper manner.
